Southgate Centre Makes Progress E-mail

Two large cranes that have been part of the Southgate Centre Re-development Project are due to be removed soon: in late August and early September. This marks the completion of the first phase of the development project.

The new shopping centre is due to open for business on November 4th 2009. But does Bath reaaly need more shops? Time will tell.

New map for bus and train travellers released

A new Public Transport Map for people wanting to use bus or train services is now available from Bath & North East Somerset Council. The Council map shows all bus and rail services in Bath and North East Somerset including links to neighbouring areas. Read more..

The Earth from the Air

One of the most striking visual exhibitions in the world will be in Bath for four months as part of a major series of environmental events hosted by Bath and North East Somerset Council that will focus people's minds on why the Council is aiming to reduce its carbon emissions by at least 30% over the next five years.  Internationally renowned 'Earth from the Air' is a 120 giant street gallery picture trail of photographs taken by YannArthus-Bertrand showing how human activity has left an imprint.
